There are a great many uses for LITEFILL- Ceramic Microsphere in the paint and industrial coating industry, due to the additional qualities they provide. For example, ceramic microspheres are often used in coatings to control infrared radiation, giving those coatings an advantage over ones that merely attempt to limit thermal conductivity. Addition of ceramic microsphere water-based intumescent coatings on structural steel helps make the structure of the coating char layers more compact and effectively reduces heat transfer from source to the metal surface showing better thermal shielding performance better anti-oxidation property at high temperature.
Ceramic Microspheres are also added to formulations for marking of roads and airfields. The use such thermoplastic composition for road markings can increase frost resistance, crack resistance, and salt resistance of coatings, as well as add reflective properties.
The increasing demands for energy are creating the requirement for deeper drilling which is associated with problems like lost circulation and obstructed pipes which results in non-productive performance. The use of spherical shape of LITEFILL-Ceramic Microsphere improves flowability and decrease the slurry density. They are primarily used to reduce the weight and act as filler lubricants in oil drilling operations under high heat and high stress conditions down the hole. Also, they are used in oil well cementing, mud putty and similar applications.
For decades, LITEFILL has been a useful additive to concrete, providing additional strength, and or sound insulation, whilst also lowering density. “In theory, Ceramic Microsphere can replace some of the normal-weight sand used in concrete. Ceramic Microsphere have a density that is less than water. This means that 1 pound of Ceramic Microsphere takes up the same absolute volume as about 3.8 lbs. of sand.”
LITEFILL in concrete are used as a means of lowering noise pollution, by lowering the weight of the concrete, while maintaining a compressive strength of 30 MPa at a density of 1.6 T / m3, improving their tightness and reducing their sound transmission. LITEFILL is also used to improve the thermal and sound insulation qualities of plasters, mortars and plasters, used for walls, floors and ceilings. An addition of 40% volume LITEFILL reduces the noise transmission coefficient by almost half the value.
LITEFILL- Ceramic Microsphere owing to their physical and chemical properties are used as feedstock in the manufacture of a new generation of innovative refractories/ insulating refractories. Their use imparts excellent flow properties to the product, thus enhancing the placability of monolithic linings.
This phenomenon has been ascribed to the lubricating (ball-bearing) effect of the spherical particles. Insulating refractories based on fly ash, exhibit remarkable strength to density ratios, excellent thermal shock resistance and an improved ratio of thermal conductivity to bulk density. Most importantly, they are far more cost effective than competitive products.
The properties of a specific Ceramic refractory depend on its formulation. In general, the higher the proportion of Cenosphere/ceramic microsphere, the better the insulation efficiency and the lower the density.
The performance of friction materials depends on the coaction between all raw materials. Our Ceramic Microspheres commonly termed as Extendo Spheres contribute to the mechanical and tribological performance of brakes by lowering the density.
Ceramic Microspheres are used as reinforcing filler in High density polyethylene (HDPE) to develop light- weight composites. Ceramic Microspheres are primarily used to reduce the weight of plastics, rubbers, resins, cements, etc...
Ceramic Microspheres were first used in the United States as an extender for plastic compounds, as they are compatible with plastisols thermoplastics, Latex, Polyesters, Epoxies, Phenolic resins and urethanes.
The compatibility of Ceramic Microspheres with special cements and adhesives coating and composites have been well identified. Cenospheres are widely used in a variety of products, including sports equipment, insulation, automobile bodies, marine craft bodies, paints, and fire and heat protection devices. Typically applied in gypsum board jointing compounds, veneering plasters, stuccos, sealants, coating and cast resins. Providing the advantages of reduces weight, increased filler loadings, better flow characteristics, less shrinkage and warping and reduces water absorption.

Ceramic Microspheres are unique, semi-transparent fine particle size high-strength ceramic microspheres. Microspheres are engineered to help you reduce costs, increase solids, enhance properties, and improve processability.
Microspheres sometimes called microparticles are made of small spherical particles. It can be manufactured from different synthetic and natural materials. Hollow Glass Microsphere of hollow ceramic microspheres has very high resistance because they are made in extreme high temperature. To achieve a ceramic melting, the temperature should be above relevant melting points. A subsequent rapid cooling process is the only reason for the hollow drops.
