Floating fly ash

Coal ash particles are collected by electric precipitators and are melted by this combustion. The particles float in hot combustion gases, becoming vitreous and round.

Floating Fly Ash is a hollow ball, grayish white, thin wall and hollow, very lightweight, bulk density of 720kg/m3 (heavy), 418.8kg/m3 (light), a diameter of about 0.1 mm, closed and smooth surface for thermal insulation application. This product has low thermal conductivity, high density, good physical strength, and excellent gas barrier properties. It can be used for insulating materials such as pipes, conveyors, and other equipment with heating elements or sources in the process.

Floating Fly Ash (FFA) is mainly composed of silica and three to two aluminum oxide based. FFA has a fine grain, hollow, lightweight, high strength and wear resistance, high-temperature resistance, and insulation properties. FFA is widely used in one of the refractory raw material industries.

Applications of Floating fly ash

  • It is used to strengthen the castable and add good coating properties.
  • This product can be used as a self-mixing agent, and can also be mixed with oil drilling lubricating oil as a component.
  • The product's low specific gravity, excellent strength, and toughness make it suitable for cement production.
  • It is widely used in slurry pumps and power transmission systems, brickmaking, papermaking, ceramic production, etc.
